By April 18, 2022No Comments

Happy Monday!

Here’s what you can look forward to this week and what you can do to participate in IAPSS events and aid efforts.

IAPSS General Assembly – Last week to submit candidacies!

The IAPSS General Assembly and Elections will take place online Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 13:00 CEST (7:00 EDT).

There are six positions available on the Executive Committee. Each position is in charge of its own department. All positions are important to keep IAPSS operational and moving forward. Just as important are the regional chair positions, as people leading the regions are responsible for promoting IAPSS on their continent in unique cultural backgrounds. We also have three available positions on the Advisory Board, which are recommended for those who have already spent some time at IAPSS as a volunteer.

The deadline for candidacies is April 24, at 23:59 CEST (15:00 EDT).

Disability Unite Got Talent

We’re proud to join Disability Unite in creating opportunities for disabled artists and allies, and supporting disability representation in the arts. Disability Unite Got Talent is a crowdsourcing contest, where the disability community can nominate and vote on ten artists to appear at this year’s Disability Unite Festival!

This contest is open to all artists and makers that identify as a member of the Disability Community and/or non-disabled allies, to build and support the careers of all creative individuals. Whether you are an emerging or established artist, student or graduate, a dancer, singer, performer or a visual artist, all disciplines and types of art are welcome.

To participate, nominate your favorite artist (or yourself) using the nominations form below. Once the nomination period ends on April 28th, visit the Disability Unite facebook page to vote and decide which winning finalists will perform in this year’s Disability Unite festival!

Artists will be paid for their performance and featured in all event promotions. Find contest rules through the link here to learn more:
