About the Executive Committee and its roles: The Executive Committee is the governing body of IAPSS and serves to manage, coordinate, and produce IAPSS’s programs, events, partnerships, regions, and more! The ExCom is made up of six (6) members, including the President, Secretary-General, Financial Director, VP and Head of Academics, VP and Head of Programs, and VP and Head of Public Relations. Working with each of these executives are a great list of team roles in each respective department.

Key Roles Available:

  1. Fundraising Officer(s)
    1. Working with the Financial Director and Deputy Financial Director, this position is the main supporting position focused on financial outreach, this position works on the fundraising team and its activities (researching, writing, and submitting fundraising applications). There are multiple positions.
  2. Global Partnerships Associates
    1. Working directly within the Department of International Cooperation with the President, this position assists the President in contacting, managing, and securing partnerships of all forms with external organizations. There are two positions available.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Student Status: Must be currently enrolled in a university, studying political science, international relations, or related fields.
  2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey IAPSS’s mission and opportunities.
  3. Networking: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships within the university community and with IAPSS.
  4. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and mobilize peers.
  5. Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage events and activities.
  6. Passion: Genuine interest in political science, international relations, and student engagement.

Requirements:

  1. Current university student (BA/MA/PhD) in political science, international relations, or related fields.
  2. Commitment to filling the role until May 31st, 2026.
  3. Availability to participate in department meetings as organized by the department head.
  4. Ability to dedicate a few hours per week to fulfilling the role’s responsibilities.
  5. B1+ English.

Note that all IAPSS positions are voluntary and non-remunerated. No travelling is expected for this position.
