About the Programme: The University Representatives Programme invites university students in political science, international relations, and other related fields to become the official IAPSS Representatives at their Universities. The role involves establishing a link between IAPSS and the local community, informing students and professors of the opportunities IAPSS offers, and fostering increased involvement of students worldwide in IAPSS. University Representatives will report to the Strategic Outreach Coordinator (head of the programme) who will inform the Executive Committee of IAPSS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between IAPSS and your university community, participating in a communications channel organized by IAPSS.
- Promote IAPSS events, programmes, and opportunities to students and professors.
- Organise informational sessions and activities to increase awareness of IAPSS.
- Foster connections between students, faculty, and IAPSS.
- Collect feedback and relay it to IAPSS to improve engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with other University Representatives within and to build and/or support Regional Chapters, and globally.
- Find and pass on the role to a successor to preserve the connection between IAPSS and the institution/association.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Student Status: Must be currently enrolled in a university, studying political science, international relations, or related fields.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey IAPSS’s mission and opportunities.
- Networking: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships within the university community and with IAPSS.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and mobilise peers.
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills to manage events and activities.
- Passion: Genuine interest in political science, international relations, and student engagement.
Requirements:
- Current university student (BA/MA/PhD) in political science, international relations, or related fields.
- Commitment to representing IAPSS at your university for at least one academic year.
- Availability to participate in regular meetings and training sessions organized by IAPSS.
- Ability to dedicate a few hours per week to fulfilling the role’s responsibilities.
- B1+ English.

Note that all IAPSS positions are voluntary and non-remunerated. No travelling is expected for this position.
