Nikolaos Sotiriou

Nikolaos Sotiriou is an Associate Project Manager for White, bringing over three years of valuable experience in communications, digital marketing, and event management to the table. With a dynamic background that includes an academic specialisation in communications from the London School of Economics and an impactful term at the European Commission as a Communications Trainee for the DG Taxations and Customs Union, Nikos possesses a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of both public and private industry communication dynamics. Furthermore, he is recognized for his excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, which have played a pivotal role in his ability to convey complex ideas and strategies effectively. He is a strategic thinker known for his capacity to analyse situations from multiple angles and devise innovative solutions that drive project success.

Thomas Bakratsas

DE-CONSPIRATOR project | White Research SRL

Thomas Bakratsas works as Senior Project Manager at White Research. He mainly focuses on acquisition and implementation of EU-funded H2020 and Horizon Europe projects. His core duties concern coordination and management of EU-funded projects, design and implementation of dissemination strategies (e.g., policy events, final conferences, webinars), stakeholder engagement, IPR management, design and performance of qualitative and quantitative research, and reporting. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an M.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics in Med from University of Bari Aldo Moro, both with distinction of excellence. He carried out part of his studies in International Relations and European Studies at Metropolitan University of Prague (full Erasmus scholarship), and he holds a Specialisation Certificate on Methods and Statistics in Social Sciences by University of Amsterdam, expanding his statistics competencies through implementation of real-world research.

Dr Demetrios Sampson

Professor, Department of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus, Greece

Demetrios Sampson is a Professor of Digital Systems in Learning and Education, the Director of the Master of Science Program on Digital Learning, and the Director of the Research Laboratory Digital Systems in Learning and Education (DiLearn) at the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus, Greece.  He has been a Professor and Director of Research at the School of Education, Curtin University in Australia (2015-2017) and a Visiting Professor in 8 Universities in 4 continents. For his research in Learning Technologies and Digital Education, he is included in the list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists in 2022 and 2023 in their fields according to the latest Stanford ranking based on Scopus data.

Dr Maria Pontiki

Panteion University | Athena Research Center

Dr Maria Pontiki is an Adjunct Lecturer of Digital Humanities and Social Sciences at the Department of Political Science and History of Panteion University and Research Associate at the Institute of Language and Speech Processing/Athena Research Center, Greece. She has participated in several European and national scientific projects (e.g. DeMoLiSH, SSHOC) and she has also co-organized sentiment analysis tasks in the framework of international workshops (SemEval 2014-2016). She has publications in the field of Computational Linguistics and Language Resources, and she has also received a best paper award at LREC 2018 (Natural Language Meets Journalism Workshop).

Dr Eleni Kapsokoli

University of Piraeus

Eleni Kapsokoli is a post-doctoral candidate at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus, Greece with a research topic: ‘The securitization of the digital electoral processes: the case of the European Union’. In 2022, she received her Ph.D. in Islamic cyberterrorism, from the same university. Her main research interests include international relations, international security, strategy, terrorism, cybersecurity, human rights, and digital democracy. She is also a Ph.D. Alumni from the European Doctoral School on Common Security and Defence Policy and research fellow at the Laboratory of Intelligence and Cyber-security of the University of Piraeus.

Vassilis Korakis

Panteion University

Vassilis Korakis is an accomplished project manager with a strong foundation in environmental and international studies. He earned his MSc in Environmental Studies & Sustainability and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, both from Panteion University. With three years of experience in project management, Vassilis has successfully overseen the implementation of more than 20 projects. His expertise shines in the coordination of various initiatives, including Erasmus+, EEA Grants and other significant projects. His combined knowledge of environmental sustainability and international relations, coupled with his proven project management skills, make Vassilis a versatile and effective leader in managing complex and impactful projects.

Dr Andreas Kollias

Panteion University

Dr Andreas Kollias is an associate professor at the Department of Political Science and History, Panteion University, Athens. He teaches courses on quantitative and qualitative data analysis and his interests are focusing on the analysis of political communication, and particularly political incivility and polarization.

Dr Costis Pierides

Panteion University

Costis Pierides was born in Athens in 1983. He works as a Postdoctoral research researcher in the programme «Polarized Democracy: New divisions in politics, media and social media in Greece (2010-2020). He holds a PhD Degree in Political Science from the Department of Political Science and History, Panteion University and and Msc in European Politics and Governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He worked as an adjunct lecture in the department of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies, University (2019-2020) and the department of Political Science, University of Crete (2020-2023).
