The African Regional Chapter of the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) will be hosting a regional Virtual UN75 Dialogue on the topic of “The views of African youth on Peace, Development and the United Nations”. The aim of this event is to bring together young Africans from across the continent to hear their views on the future of peace and development in Africa and the role that the United Nations can play in achieving that future.
This initiative comes in light of the recent unanimous adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2535 , the African Union campaign on Silencing the Guns in 2020 and the commemoration of International Day of Peace in September.
IAPSS Africa is inviting organisations or groups working in areas of youth and peace, youth and development or youth issues in general to partner with us for this dialogue. We believe that a platform such as this can only succeed if we bring as many voices as we can to the table and we would like you to be part of the conversation!
