Our Chairs for IAPSS Oceania

Oceania in the IAPSS world currently consisting of Australia and New Zealand has a great variety of political science researchers who have highly contributed to international research. Regarding the global position of this region close to the fast-evolving Asian nations, political science in Oceania will shape the future global political environment.

For strengthening our presence in Oceania we have launched our regional chapter in this area. Our chapter is going to connect students with interest in politics amongst Australia and New Zealand, conducting events and fostering research initiatives. Following we introduce one of our Regional Chairs, Flavia Zimmermann.

Flavia Zimmermann

By joining the IAPSS Regional teams as an Oceania Outreach Co-Chair, Flavia will establish networks not only within Australia but within the regions and beyond. Flavia will facilitate opportunities for students in Australia and in the region, creating greater interaction between political science students and their respective academic institutions, cross-institutional and think tank partnerships, and academic collaboration for students in Australia and across the region, promoting greater integration with IAPSS European students.
